TUCSON, AZ--- The Northland College Baseball team continued play in Arizona this afternoon, taking on NCAA Div. II Bemidji State. The Jacks were able to take the early 1-0 lead in top of the third inning but ultimately fell to the Beavers, 12-2.

After a scoreless two innings, it was the LumberJacks who took the early lead in the top of the third as
Peyton Solberg collected a Sac Fly, scoring
Keaton Arreazola to make it 1-0 for the Jacks. The Beaver bats would however come alive in the bottom frame and 4th innings, scoring six runs in each innings to take the 12-1 lead. The Jacks were able to add another run in the top of the 7th as
Maks Onyx hit a grounder to first, scoring
Parker Williams but Bemidji would go on to take the game 12-2 over the Jacks.
Ridge guyette would get the start on the mound for the Jacks, pitching 4.0 innings.
Claudio Aguilar would pitch 2.0 strong innings in relief, not allowing any hits.
Keaton Arreazola,
Matt Simpson and
Anthony Boyle would each collect hits for the Jacks.
The Jacks will wrap up their trip in Arizona tomorrow (3/10) as they take on Wheaton College (9am) and Sul Ross State University (12:30pm).
