Eau Claire, WI - The Northland College LumberJacks put together a valiant effort to keep their season going on Saturday evening, but ultimately they came up just short in a 1-0 loss at UW-Eau Claire against the Blu Golds.  The loss allows the Blu Golds to advance to the semi-finals of the WIAC playoffs while the Jacks season comes to an end. 

The Blu Golds got on the board in the second period and were able to keep the Jacks off the scoreboard throughout to hold onto the win.  The Jacks had several chances late including a power play in the final three minutes, but couldn't find the back of the net.

Viktor Wennberg made 31 saves in net for the Jacks.
