Jacks Drop Two at Home to Bethany

ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Baseball team hosted Bethany Lutheran College today at LumberJack Field in a UMAC conference doubleheader. The Jacks fell in both games by scores of 10-1 and 17-0. 

Game 1

Bethany used runs in the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th innings to jump out to the early 8-0 lead. Zach Ross was able to get the Jacks on the board in the 6th with a sacrifice hit, scoring Keaton Arreazola to make it 8-1. BLC was able to add runs in the 7th and 9th to take game one, 10-1. 

Adrian Bethel and Zach Ross led the Jacks in hits in game one, both going 2X4 at the plate. 

Game 2

Bethany used runs in the third, fourth, sixth and 7th innings to take game two, 17-0. Rian Arreazola, Noah Cross, Adrian Bethel and Joel Eason collected hits in game two. 

The Jacks continue play next Tuesday (May 11th) vs. St. Scholastica in a non-conference doubleheader at LumberJack Field. Game one is set to start at 1:00pm. 

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, Midwest Lacrosse Conference and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
