ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Baseball team continued UMAC play afternoon at LumberJack Field vs. North Central MN. The Jacks would win in convincing fashion in game one, winning 12-0. The Jacks would fall in game two to the Rams, 22-3.
Game 1
In game one,
Jesse Carmona would get the start on the mound for the Jacks. The Jacks would open the scoring in the bottom of the second inning, exploding for 11 runs.

Noah Cross,
Adrian Bethel, would all collect rbi hits to give the Jacks the 11-0 lead. In the 5th,
Adrian Bethel would hammer a solo home run to center field to extend the LumberJack lead to 12-0. Carmona, who pitched brilliantly in game one, continued to mow down the Ram batters as the Jacks would take game one, 12-0.
Carmona finished his day going 7.0 innings, allowing 0 runs, only giving up three hit.
Adrian Bethel led all LumberJacks at the plate in game one, going 3X4 at the plate with 3 rbi's.
Game 2
After trailing early to the Rams 5-0, the Jacks would get themselves on the board in the bottom of the second inning as
Matt Simpson had an rbi ground out, scoring
Keaton Arreazola. Later in the inning,
Zach Matyasik crushed an rbi single to center field, scoring
Joel Eason to make the score 5-2. The Rams however would widen their lead, scoring runs in the 4th and 5th innngs to lead 16-2.
Shawn O'Connell would hit a sac fly in the 5th, scoring
Rian Arreazola but it wouldn't be enough as the Rams would take game two, 22-3.

The Jacks will close out the 2021 season this Sunday (May 16th) at LumberJack Field in Ashland vs. Minnesota Morris. Game one is set to start at 1:30pm.
