Jills Win vs. Bethany- Fall Against Morris

ASHLAND, Wis.-- The Northland College Volleyball wrapped up the 2021 UMAC regular season today with home games vs. Bethany Lutheran College and the University of Minnesota-Morris. The Jills would come away with a thrilling 3-2 win vs. Bethany (28-26, 21-25, 25-11. 23-25, 15-8) but fell in 4 sets to Morris (12-25, 13-25, 25-22, 17-25). 

Game 1

The Jills came away with an exciting victory in game one vs. Bethany Lutheran, winning the 5th set 15-8. Justine Litherland led the way for the Jills in kills collecting an impressive 17. Bailey Wynn and Larissa Fossum would each have 12. Makenna Nelson would have a monster game for the Jills with 44 assists in game one. Kennedi Bernia would have 32 digs.

Game 2

After a quick 2-0 start for Morris in game two, the Jills would respond with a 25-22 victory in the third set. The Jills fought til the very end but ultimately dropped the 4th set (25-17) and match 3-1 vs. Morris. 

Fossum (12), Litherland (8) and Wynn (4) would lead all LumberJills in kills in game two. Makenna Nelson would lead the charge with 25 assists while Wynn would also lead all LumberJills in digs with 19. 

The Jills finished the 2021 season in 5th place.
