DULUTH, Minn.-- The Northland College Softball team traveled to Duluth, MN today for a UMAC double-header vs. St. Scholastica. The Jills fell in both games to the first place Saints by scores of 9-1 and 13-0.
Game 1
In game one,
Sofia Garcia would get the start on the mound for the Jills. After either team was unable score a run through the first 3 innings it would be CSS getting on the board in the bottom of the 4th inning to take the 2-0 lead. CSS was able to open things up in the 5th inning scoring 5 runs. The Jills were able to get on the board in the top of the 6th as
Elizabeth Peters ripped a liner to right center, scoring Donnelly but CSS was able to add some insurance runs in the 6th to take game oe, 9-1.
Jenna Reyes and
Sofia Garcia also collected hits in game one.
Game 2
In game two, CSS was able to get out to a early 8-0 lead after two and never looked back, taking game two 13-0.

Natalie Randolph each collected hits in game two.
The Jills will have a couple of days off before they host Northwestern MN at home on Saturday (April 24th). First pitch at LumberJill Field is set to start at 1pm.
