In game one it would be the Jills who struck first with two runs in the bottom of the second inning as Elizabeth Peters would crush a sac fly to center field and Jenna Reyes would have an rbi single to left field to make it 2-0 for the Jills. The Jills busted open the scoring in the bottom of the fifth inning, scoring 5 runs as Natalie Erler would hammer a 3rbi double to right field as the Jills increased their lead to 7-0. Garcia, who pitched tremendously all day, closed the door in the final two innings as the Jills took game one, 7-0 over the Cougars.

Game 2

In game two, Garcia would once again take the mound for the Jills. Game two turned into a pitching dual between the two teams but it was the LumberJills who opened the scoring in the bottom of the 3rd inning as Saylor Donnelly hit an rbi single, scoring Natalie Randolph to make it 1-0 for the Jills. As the game went one, Garcia continued to put away the batters from UMM, getting out of multiple jams and the Jills would eventually go on to take game one 1-0.

The Jills will continue UMAC play this Saturday (April 15th) as they travel to Martin Luther College for a double-header. Game one is set to start at 1pm.
