Ashland, WI - The Northland College LumberJills lost their regular season finale by a score of 6-1 on Saturday afternoon. UW-Stevens Point used three third period goals to break open a very competitive game. The Jills will now wait until the final standings are determined to see who they play in the first round of the WIAC playoffs.
Karadyn Kiviaho got the Jills on the board in the second period with a spectacular individual effort that began in her own defensive end. With the second period winding down, Kiviaho was able to skate past multiple Pointers defenders before finding firing a shot past the goaltender to bring the Jills within two.
Teagen Johnson made 28 saves in net for the Jills. Their playoff game will take place on March 8
th.
