Ashland, WI - The Jacks wrapped up their two game series with the UW-Stout Blue Devils on Friday evening and lost another close contest as this time the Blue Devils overcame an early deficit before leaving Ashland with a 4-2 victory.
Jackson Breton scored late in the first period to give the Jacks a 1-0 lead. The Jacks took their lead into the locker room but the Blue Devils tied the score less than halfway through the first period which set up a dramatic finale. After the Blue Devils took the lead in the third, the Jacks
Zachary Fisher tied the game at 2-2 off of a powerplay goal that was assisted by
Cole Kirkup and
Matt Murphy. The Blue Devils responded shortly after with two unanswered goals, and despite several chances the Jacks were unable to find the back of the net again.
Chris Curr made 39 saves in net for the Jacks. They return to the ice on Wednesday when they travel to UW-River Falls.
