ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Women's Basketball team opened the 2021-22 season this afternoon as they hosted Nebraska Wesleyan University in a non-conference matchup. The Jills would fall by a final score of 79-41 to NWU.

After a tightly contest 1st quarter which saw the Jills only trail 12-9, NWU would go on a run, scoring 21 points in the second quarter to lead the Jills 33-17 at the Half. NWU continued their hot shooting in the second half and would go on to take today's game 79-41 over the Jills.
Miranda Wagner led all LumberJills with 13 points in today's game.
Raniya White collected 9 boards for the Jills.
The Jills are back in action next Saturday as they host Maranantha Baptist University at the Chapple Family Gymnasium. Game time is scheduled to start at 2pm.
