Ashland, WI - The Northland College Lumberjills picked up their first win of the season with a 66-59 win over the visiting Maranatha Baptist University Sabrecats. The Jills got down early but quickly rallied in the second quarter and never trailed again. With the win, the Jills are now 1-1 on the year while the Sabrecats are 0-1.
Miranda Wagner led the Jills with 19 points on 6-14 shooting.
Triniti Anderson, in her first action for the Jills, added 17 points.
Aja Gregg got the job done on both ends of the court with 12 rebounds and 12 points.
The Jills are in action next on Tuesday when they travel to Macalestar College. Tipoff is set for 7:00PM.
