ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Women's Hockey team hosted St. Norbert College this evening in a non-conference matchup at the Bay Area Civic Center. St Norbert used three first period goal and added another in the second to take today's game over the Jills by a final score of 4-0.

After a scoreless ten minutes to open this evening's game, St. Norbert scored a flurry of goals to take the lead 3-0 after the first period. The Green Knights continued the pressure to open the start of the second period, making it 4-0 just three minutes into the second period. The Jills, who had quality scoring chances from Mahteya Dumelie and Taylor Richmond in the second wouldn't be able to connect as St. Norbert took the 4-0 lead into the third. The Jills would have some quality scoring opportunities late but would not be able to capitalize as St. Norbert took game one of this weekend's series 4-0 of the Jills. 

Teagen Johnson made 34 saves in goal today for the LumbrJills. 

The Jills and Green Knights will continue this weekend's series in game two which will take place tomorrow at 2pm at the Bay Area Civic Center.
