MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.--- The Northland College Women's Soccer team traveled to Minneapolis, MN for a UMAC conference game vs. North Central MN. After jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first half, North Central would chip away at the LumberJill lead and eventually tie the game and either team would find the game winner in overtime resulting in a 2-2 tie.

The LumberJills were quickly able to take the early lead off of the foot of
Reece Gellerman, scoring two goals in the opening 16 minutes of play to give the Jills the early 2-0 lead. She was assisted by Ani Dia Morales and
Greta Keffer on the goals. North Central would respond with a goal of their own just minutes later as the Jills took the 2-1 lead into the half.
North Central was able to tie the game just minutes into the start of the second half to make it a 2-2 game. The Jills would have chances to take the lead off of shots from
Emma Karsell and Keffer but either team was able to find the back of the net to set up overtime. In the first and second over times, both teams would have quality scoring chances to score but Northland goalie
Elysabeth Lough would stand tall in net as the game would end in a 2-2 tie.
Lough, who has been strong all season for the Jills, made 17 saves in goal today.
The Jills continue UMAC action this Friday as they host Northwestern MN at Ponzio Stadium. Game time is set to start at 1pm.
