Ashland, WI – The Northland College Lumberjills took on the UW- Stevens Point Pointers for the second evening in a row on Sunday afternoon. Once again, three periods couldn't determine a winner, and after a five minute overtime period both teams had to settle for a 1-1 tie.
The Jills got on the board first early in the first period off of a goal from
Robyn Matula. Matula's goal nearly stood as the game winner, but with 56 seconds left in the third period, the Pointers tied the game off of a goal from Nicole Neuberger.
Both teams created chances in the overtime period, but neither team was able to find the back of the net.
Gabby Suhr made 55 saves in net for the Jills.
