The Jacks hosted Crown College tonight for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference matchup against the Storm. Prior to the game the Jacks honored Seniors
Benjamin Arqueros,
Brandon Galland, and
Kyle Szilagyi.
The Jacks fell behind early as the Storm would open up the half on an 11-2 run. The Jacks offense would start to find its rhythm from there, but the Storm would be able to keep pace and maintain their lead. However, the Jacks would come rallying back later in the half with a 9-2 run to get to within one of the Storm. The Storm would be able to answer, once again building their lead to 36-26. The Jacks would go into halftime down 36-26.
The Jacks got the scoring started in the second half, cutting away at the deficit. They would continue their hot shooting, getting to within three of the Storm. However, the Storm would hit key shots and start to build their lead. The Jacks would continue to close the gap between themselves and the Storm to get to within three once again. However, it wouldn't be enough as the Jacks would run out of time. They fell by a final score of 79-71.
Benny Larry, Jr. recorded a team high 20 points, while
Brandon Galland tallied 15.
Modesta Britten led the Jacks with 6 rebounds.
The Jacks will be back on the court 2/13 at home against the College of St. Scholastica. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
