The Jacks squared off against the North Central University Rams tonight on the road.
The Jacks struck first to start the half. A 6-2 run by the Jacks would allow them to widen their lead over the Rams. The Jacks would continue to pull away throughout the first. The Rams fought their way back, cutting the Jacks lead down to four. However, the Jacks would once again pull away, building their lead back up to ten. The Jacks would go into halftime up 44-34.
The Rams scored first to start the second half, but the Jacks answered, growing their lead to fourteen. The Rams rallied back with a 12-0 run to jump back into the game. The Rams would eventually cut the Jacks lead down to one. The Jacks capitalized on Ram's fouls and were able to maintain their lead. The Jacks held on to win by a final score of 75-71.
Modesta Britten recorded a team high 27 points, while
Hunter Moe added 17. Britten also grabbed 14 rebounds, while
Brandon Galland tallied 8.
The Jacks will be back at home on 2/9 against Crown College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5pm.
