The Jills hosted The College of St. Scholastica Saints tonight at the Chapple Family Gymnasium.
The teams came out evenly matched as they quickly began battling back and forth, trading leads with one another. The Saints would start to grow their lead over the Jills early in the second quarter, but the Jills would cut down the deficit, tying the game up at 23-23. The teams would stay even from there, as they would go into halftime tied up.
The Saints took the lead to start the second half, but once again the Jills would answer, tying it back up. The Saints would go on an 8-0 run and put some distance between themselves and the Jills, but the Jills would rally back to get to within one. However, they would run out of time. The Jills fell by a final score of 66-60.
Sarah Houle led the team with 13 points, while
Bianca Avalos added 10.
Lindsay Bressette,
Katherine Taylor, and
Ashton Meadows each grabbed 6 rebounds.
The Jills will be on the road 2/16 at the University of Minnesota Morris. Tip off is set for 3pm.
