Ashland, WI – The Jacks scored a goal late in the third period to set up a dramatic finish, but ultimately they fell 2-1 on Friday evening to the Finlandia University Lions. 

The Jacks held the advantage in faceoffs and shots but the Lions used goals in the first and second period to jump out to a 2-0 lead.  The Jacks had several chances and multiple power play opportunities, but Lions Goalie Ben Kelsch kept the Jacks off the scoreboard for most of the night.  Kelsch made 35 saves on the evening and was finally beaten by the Jack's Brad Estrada off a nice pass from Cameron  Coutre with 3:06 left in the period. 

The Jacks were unable to find a second goal over the final minutes which allowed the Lions to escape with the win.  With the loss the Jacks are now 2-5 on the year while the Lions improve to 1-7-1. 

The two teams will see each other tomorrow night when the Lions play host in Hancock, Michigan.  The game is set to start at 7:00pm.
