The Jills traveled to Milwaukee, WI tonight for a neutral site non-conference matchup against the Maranatha Baptist University Sabrecats.

The Jills fell behind early in the first quarter, as they would struggle to get their offense going. However, they would waste no time in the second as they would go on an 8-0 run to start the quarter, taking an 18-16 lead over the Sabrecats. The Sabrecats would tie it up, but the Jills quickly started to pull away with a 31-24 lead. They would go into halftime up 33-28.

The Sabrecats would keep it close in the third quarter, but the Jills would be able to answer and maintain their lead. The Jills once again pulled away late in the quarter, taking a 9 point lead into the final ten minutes of the game. The Sabrecats would once again battle their way back into the game, getting to within three of the Jills. The Sabrecats tied it up at 58-58 with a little over one minute remaining in regulation. The Sabrecats would sink a few key free throws, giving them a 59-58 lead. They would hold on to win by a final score of 63-58.

Emily Wagner led the Jills with 18 points, while Bianca Avalos added 13. Katherine Taylor recorded a team high 6 rebounds, while Emily Wagner tallied 5.

The Jills will be back on the court 12/1 at Mount Mary University. Tip-off is scheduled for 3pm.
