The Jacks hosted non-conference opponent the Augsburg University Auggies today at the Chapple Family Gymnasium.

The teams came out of the gate evenly matched as they would trade shots with one another. The Auggies started to pull away with a 16-9 lead, but the Jacks would stay in it and chip away at the deficit. A 3-pointer by Benny Larry Jr. would get the Jacks to within one. However, the Auggies would rally late in the half and take a 47-28 lead over the Jacks at halftime.

The Jacks got started fast in the second as they would go on a 7-0 run. The Auggies answered, but the Jacks would continue to fight their way back into the game. A Brandon Galland jumper would get the Jacks to within 5 of the Auggies. However, a 9-0 run by the Auggies would put some distance between themselves and the Jacks. The Jacks wouldn't be able to catch the Auggies before the end of the half, falling by a final score of 91-76.

Benny Larry Jr. had a team high 18 points, while Brandon Galland followed with 16. Modesta Britten finished the day with 10 rebounds.

The Jacks will be back on the court 11/14 at Finlandia University. Tip off is scheduled for 5pm.
