Mike Cooling took over as the first true Sports Information Director at Northland College in September 2023.
At Northland, he is in charge of writing stories for the website, statting home games, maintaining the website, running teams' social media accounts, and overseeing the Jacks and Jills Podcast.
Before Northland, Cooling worked at Bemidji State University as an Athletic Media Relations assistant. While at BSU he covered Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Softball and Men's and Women's Golf. Cooling started working in the SID field when he was a student at North Iowa Area Community College as a student worker. The two years at NIACC helped him land a position as a student worker at Bemidji State for the next two years.
In 2022 Cooling graduated from Bemidji State University with a degree in Sport Management with a minor in Mathematics.
