Hope Neargarder enters her first season as the Head Volleyball Coach before the 2023 season. She is also the Senior Woman Administrator at Northland College.
Before coming to Northland College Neargarder was the assistant coach for Illinois College for two seasons. While there she helped guide the team to the MWC Conference tournament in both of her seasons with the team and has coached multiple MWC All-Conference players.
Neargarder started her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. That led to her being the assistant coach at Wilmington College for two seasons.
She graduated from Defiance College in 2017 with a bachelor's of science in athletic training. While attending Neargarder was a member of the Yellow Jacket Volleyball Team for four seasons. In 2019 she earned her master's degree in sports leadership from Miami University.
