Courtney Palmer

Courtney Palmer will be returning for her 3rd season as Assistant Coach for the Northland College Volleyball program. She came to the program after graduating from Waldorf College where she started for the Warriors as an Outside Hitter for four seasons. During her career, she was nominated team captain Junior and senior season and was named second-team all-conference in her last two seasons. She earned MCAC Scholar-Athlete and NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors three seasons for academics within the classroom. Palmer closed out her collegiate career recording over 1,100 kills and 1,800 digs for the Warriors.

Palmer was also a member of the Waldorf Warriors softball team for four seasons, playing shortstop, second base, and third base throughout her four years. She ended her career with a .360 batting average upon her departure from Waldorf. Palmer was also awarded the Honor Athlete award her senior year. She grew up in Rochester, Minn. where she attended Rochester Mayo High School playing both Varsity Volleyball and Softball.

Palmer earned her Bachelor of Art in Psychology and her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Waldorf College in 2015. Prior to becoming a member of the Northland College Athletics staff, she worked as a Program Counselor at Northland Counseling Services in Ashland.
