Kari Jacquart

Kari Jacquart is a native of Ironwood, Michigan and will be entering her second season as an assistant at Northland College. 

An avid sports fan since she was a young child, Ms. Jacquart started playing basketball in the third grade.  As player at the shooting guard position, she continued to play basketball through high school and college.  As a player at Ironwood, she was a member of the 1994 Regional Championship Team and she earned 1st Team All Conference (West-Pac) and Honorable Mention All-State honors.  She was also a member of the Region XIII Championship Team at Gogebic Community College in 1998.

Her love for the game of basketball has inspired her to attend the NCAA Division I Women’s Final Four each year since 1995.  At this event, Ms. Jacquart has had the privilege to watch and learn from many of the nation’s best coaches and players.  Ms. Jacquart is also a member of the WBCA (Women’s Basketball Coaches Association), and she attends its annual conference while at the Final Four.  She began coaching middle school girls’ basketball while attending college.  Since that time, she has coached Junior Varsity, Varsity and various AAU and traveling teams. In the 2017-2018 season while coaching Varsity at Ironwood, she led her team to a regular season record of 16-4 and was named Indianhead Coach of the Year. She is also the current coach of the Northland Elite 2022 AAU team and is entering her 4th season with the club.

Ms. Jacquart has been coaching girls’ basketball for over 19 years.  Coaching girls’ basketball is her true passion and she truly enjoys teaching student athletes about that sport that she loves.
