Mackenzie Sexton

Mackenzie Smith enters her third year as Head Athletic Trainer here at Northland College after previously serving as an Athletic Trainer.  Her primary job assignments include Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Softball and Men’s Lacrosse.

Before coming to Northland, Smith served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia from 2013-2015. While working with the football and softball teams at Mercer, Smith received her Master’s in Higher Education. Prior to this, Smith served a one year term at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia as a Certified Intern Athletic Trainer.

Smith received her Bachelors in Athletic Training with a minor in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. While obtaining her degree, Smith was a student athletic trainer with the women’s basketball, rowing, and football teams, along with working for the local military base her senior year. Smith has been a Board Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA/BOC) since 2012.

She is a native of Wichita, KS and currently resides in Bayfield.
