LumberJill Field

LumberJill Field

Home of Northland College Softball

LumberJill Field is home to the Northland College Softball team. This state of the art field was constructed in 2004 and is beautifully groomed complete with a warning track, open-faced dugouts, 200 foot fences and bullpens next to each dugout. The field is located just east of the campus, on the street directly across from the main entrance to the campus. It has a great secluded location facing a wooded ravine.

Press Box
The brand new press box was built in the fall of 2012.  The 2nd floor 15' x 15' pressbox features a  permanent sound system.  The lower level is home to a concession stand and equipment storage. All materials were obtained through generosity of donors.  Granger Builders graciously provided the labor for the project.

Storage Building

A new storage building was erected in the fall of 2012.  This building adjacent to the field makes field maintenance much more efficient.  All supplies for the building were purchased by donors, and 100% of the labor was donated by families of the North Coast BlueGills an amatuer summer softball team that occasionally uses the field.

 Team Room

Located in the Kendrigan Gymnasium is the LumberJills Team Room.  Each player gets a locker during the season to store their clothes and equipment.  It is close to the laundry facility where all practice gear and uniforms are cleaned on a daily basis.
