Jahlani Thornton recorded his third double-double of the season, contributing 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Yellowjackets jumped out to an early 12-2 lead. Thornton scored the first basket for the LumberJacks, finishing in the paint.
Damian Cejka interrupted the scoring run with two made free throws. The teams traded baskets, with
Donovan Washington hitting Northland's first three-pointer to cut the lead to eight. The Jacks continued to match UWS's scoring and prevented them from pulling too far ahead, but they were unable to make up the deficit. Northland ended the first half with a 10-2 rally, trailing by nine points.

Thornton scored the first two baskets of the second half for Northland. The Yellowjackets then went on an eight-point run to extend their lead to 52-36.
Tyler Tuura drew a foul and converted both of his free throws, with Washington adding a jumper to chip away at the lead. UWS continued to go on runs and built a 20-point advantage with less than 10 minutes remaining. Northland fought hard but couldn't close the gap, and UWS ultimately won, 56-80.

Thornton led the LumberJacks both offensively and defensively, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Cejka and Washington each added 10 points, while Tuura came off the bench to contribute nine points. Thornton and
Stephen Kesti each recorded a block in the contest.

The Jacks will next play on Saturday, when they travel to Crown College for a 3 p.m. game.
