DE PERE, Wis. – The Northland College Volleyball team was bested in its final match at the St. Norbert College Chick-fil-A Invitational 0-3 (15-25, 14-25, 11-25) to Central College in De Pere, Wis.

Northland got on the board first from a bad serve from Central but the Dutch responded with six points in a row.
Leah Allan recorded the first kill for NC, and
Kodie Rempp assisted her. Central continued to pull away.
Britta Josephson tallied three kills in the opening set to lead Northland. The large rallies gave CC the opening set victory.

Just like in the set prior Central had a 6-1 lead after seven points.
Kennedy Gruhlke scored the second point of the set for NC. Kills from Josephson and Allan managed to cut the lead to five, keeping the set in reach. Northland would score one point down the stretch as Central would score two, widening the lead to an eventual 25-14 victory for the Dutch.

Early in set three,
Anna Campbell scored off the service for her first ace of the match and third of the season. Josephson had three of the team's kills in the final set with Campbell recording one. The Dutch continued their rallies and took the match with an 11-25 victory in the final set.

Josephson paced Northland with a season-high eight kills. Allan was behind her with four and Campbell and Gruhlke chipped in a pair. Rempp assisted on a team-leading six points. Campbell and
Hannah Peel rounded out the top three with five and three respectively. Northland tallied three service aces with Allan pitching in two and Campbell tacking on the other. Rempp led the defense with seven digs for the first time this season. Josephson had Northland's sole block.

Northland takes part in its final tournament before conference play next week when they travel to Decora, Iowa for the Luther College Tournament.
