MORRIS, Minn. – The Northland College Volleyball team fell 3-0 (17-25, 15-25, 14-25) to the University of Minnesota Morris Saturday morning in Morris, Minn., in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action. Senior
Kodie Rempp reached 500 career assists in the match.

The Cougars started the match with four of the first five points.
Lily Zapp had the first Northland kill that rallied NC to level the game at six all after a
Leah Allan service ace. Points continued to trade until UMM went on a 7-to-1 run. Northland tried to climb out of the hole but dropped the set 25-17.

Britta Josephson started set two with a service ace. The first eight points bounced back and forth between the team with Allan recording an early kill for Northland. The Cougars pulled to a 10-6 advantage. Northland tried to rally back with kills from Josephson and Allan but could not retake the lead and fell 15-25 in set two.

Ellison DeZwarte started the set with her first kill of the match. Two points later Rempp set up Josephson for another Northland point and her 500
th career assist.
Hannah Fisher followed the NC kill with a service ace to put the LumberJills up two. The Cougars took the lead after scoring four in a row. UMM continued to expand its lead and won 25-14 to take the match.

Josephson and Allan led the NC attack with eight and seven kills respectively. Rempp, Zapp, DeZwarte, and
Kennedy Gruhlke all recorded a kill in the match as well. Rempp reached 500 career assists in the match after setting up 17 points. Four different student-athletes had a service ace for NC: Josephson, Allan, Gruhlke and
Hannah Peel.

On the other side of the ball, Josephson and Allan had eight and seven digs to pace the Jills. Gruhlke and Peel finished behind the duo with four. At the net, Northland had one block coming from Josephson and DeZwarte.

Northland enters its final week of the play on Friday when they travel to Bethany Lutheran College for a 7 p.m., match.
