ASHLAND, Wis.– Before the match between the Northland College Volleyball team and No. 18 University of Northwestern seniors
Madi Ritenour and
Kodie Rempp were honored for the time they spent with the program. In the match, Northland fell 0-3 (10-25, 14-25, 14-25) to the Eagles in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon.

UNW heavily controlled the first two sets.
Leah Allan scored her first point of the match with an ace in the opening set. Over the two sets, the offense was led by Allan with six kills and
Britta Josephson with three.

Set three Northland kept it competitive to start. Kills from Allan and Josephson had NC on top 8-7. Down the stretch, the Eagles piled on points and took the match with a 14-25 three-set win.

Allan tallied eight kills and Josephson had five against one of the top teams in the country. Rempp and
Kennedy Gruhlke also recorded a kill in the match. Rempp assisted on 13 points and Josephson and Gruhlke had one assist. Allan had the sole ace for NC.

Defensively, Josephson had her second match with 20-plus digs tallying 20 against the Eagles. Rempp and
Hannah Fisher rounded out the top three with nine and eight respectively.

Northland hits the road next week when they travel to Crown College on Friday for a 7 p.m., match.
