Fifth-year Bailey Wynn showed her dominance at the net recording 25 kills in the span of two games.

Northland started the Stinger Classic with the host of the tournament UW-Superior and gave them a battle. In set one the Jills jumped out to an early 7-2 lead. The Yellowjackets responded and tied the game up at 11. A six-point rally gave UWS the lead it needed to take set one.

Set two NC got off to a great start taking an early 11-4 lead. The set wasn't over yet with UW Superior coming back and took a 13-12 lead. The Jills were able to retake the lead and hold off the Yellowjackets. Senior Elizabeth Montgomery scored the final point of the set after getting set up by Megan Vah Gheem.

Sets three and four went the way of the Yellowjackets. Set three started off with a big run from UWS to go up by nine points. The Jills were able to crawl within four to make the score 19-15 and later make 22-19 but were unable to catch up before UW Superior 25. Set four when very similar to set three with the Yellowjackets taking an early and the Jills making it close but fall short.

On the attack in game one, Wynn and freshman Britta Josephson were making their presence known tallying 12 kills apiece. Senior Montgomery was right behind the pair racking up nine first on the season debut. Setting up the attacks was Van Gheem with 31 assists without committing a set error. Senior Alexa Zadra fell one dig shy of 30 and Wynn was right behind her with 22. Ellie Kracht, Wynn and Montgomery all recorded four blocks, Wynn and Montgomery had all their blocks assisted while Kratch recorded three solo and one assisted block.

Game two for Northland Volleyball against St. Scholastica had three similar sets. Both teams would battle back and forth going point-for-point but small runs led to the Saints claiming all three sets.

Wynn continued her dominant day being the sole Jill to reach double-digit kills in both matches. In the second match, she one-upped herself recording 13 kills. Van Gheem set up 24 points against the Saints in the loss. Van Gheem also recorded the only ace for the Jills.  Zadra totaled 52 digs on the day with 29 coming in game two. Shelby Justman tallied two blocks one solo and one assisted and Montgomery helped on the block with Justman.
