MORRIS, Minn. – The Northland College Volleyball team dropped its first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference road match to University of Minnesota, Morris 0-3 (16-25, 11-25, 15-25) Friday night in Morris Minn.
Bailey Wynn led the Jills on the attack with nine kills in the loss.

In each set, the Cougars jumped out to an early lead that the Jills were unable to catch up to. The closest Northland got late in the set, was in the second set when
Ellie Kracht and
Shelby Justman blocked a Cougar attack to make the score 12-7.

Wynn led the team with nine kills in the match. Behind her were Justman and
Elizabeth Montgomery who recorded seven and six kills respectively. Wynn also had the best hitting percentage at .143.
Megan Van Gheem had another match tallying a service ace, she has recorded one in all but one match this season. Van Gheem also set up 25 Northland points.

Alexa Zadra totaled 12 digs a game-high for the Jills with Wynn following at 10. At the net the Jills had two blocks one solo from Montgomery and an assisted block by Justman and Kracht.

The Jills continue their road trip tomorrow (Saturday) as they travel to St. Bonifacius, Minn., to play Crown College. The match will start at 1 p.m.
