ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Men's Lacrosse team hosted Marian University this afternoon in a non-conference matchup at Ponzio Stadium. The Jacks fell by a final score of 23-6 to the Sabres.

The Jacks opened the scoring today off of a nifty play from Phil Peacy to give the Jacks the early 1-0 lead. Marian would then go on to score the next 5 goals to take the commanding 5-1 lead. Kyle Parker netted his first goal of the game as time ran down in the first to make it 5-2. Marian was able to out score the Jacks 6-0 in the second to take a 11-2 lead into the half. 

In the second, the Jacks were able to get goals from Parker, Anden Stroik and Peacy but it wouldn't be enough as the Sabres went on to win today 23-6 over the Jacks. 

Marian out shot the Jacks 44-41 in today's game. 

Tony Donaldson made 8 saves in net today for the Jacks. 

Luke Ballard led all LumberJacks with 6 ground balls. 

The Jacks open up Midwest Lacrosse Conference play this Saturday as they travel to Lake Forest, IL to take on Lake Forest College. Game time is set to start at 12pm.
