The Northland College Men's Basketball team returned home for the first time in the new calendar year on Friday evening, as they played host to North Central University for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference matchup. The Rams came out shooting in the first half, jumping out to a 13 point lead at the break. The LumberJacks used a late second-half defensive adjustment to cut the lead to within seven, but couldn't get any closer as the Rams took the game 87-73.Â
Drew Lindberg (Marquette, Mich.) lead Northland scorers with 17 points, going 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.
Jordan Brennan (Ashland, Wis.) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists in the contest.
Northland (4-13, 2-4 UMAC) will return to the Kendrigan on Saturday afternoon as they host the University of Northwestern. Tip-off for game two of the UMAC weekend series is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
