The LumberJills basketball team opened the new year with a 67-40 victory over Mount Mary.

The Northland College Women's Basketball team resumed their season on Monday afternoon with a road game at Mount Mary University. The LumberJills out-rebounded the Blue Angels 58-42 enroute to their fifth win in their last six contests.
Miranda Wagner recorded another double-double in the game, leading the Jills with 20 points and 13 boards.
Bailey Wynn, making her first start of the season, tallied 11 points and 8 rebounds. She led the game with 3 three-pointers. All five Northland starters recorded at least six points and seven rebounds in the game.
Ashley Lopez dished out a game-high eight assists.
The LumberJills (5-5, 1-1 UMAC) will resume conference play on Saturday evening as they travel to UW-Superior. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:45 PM.
