ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Men's Lacrosse team continued conference play at home this evening on Senior Night against North Central MN. The Jacks came away victorious over the Rams, winning 23-4 at Ponzio Stadium.

The Jacks wasted little time, jumping out to the early 4-0 lead in the first period with goals from
Cody Pfaller,
Jakob Wohlford and two from
Brodie Trollop. The Jacks continued to find their groove in the second period as Hoy Kelly got his first goal of the game to make it 6-1 for the Jacks. Just minutes later,
Evan Ilkos netted his first goal of the 2022 season to increase the Jacks lead.
Matt Maudsley scored his first goal of the game just minutes later and another goal from Pfaller closed out the scoring in the first half as the Jacks lead 10-1.Â
The Jacks once again opened the second half up with four goals from Trollop,
Tristan Petrie, Pfaller and Kelly to increase the LumberJack lead to 14-2. After a North Central goal just minutes later, the Jacks closed out the third period with 5 more goals from
Aidan Hood,
Matt Maudsley,
Bailey Lang and two from
Jakob Wohlford.
Korey Muzzy opened up the fourth period with a man-up goal and the Jacks offense continued to shine with three more goals to take today's conference match 23-4 over the Rams.Â
Wohlford and Trollop led the LumberJacks in offense today, each collecting four goals and three assists.Â
Jacob Taylor led all LumberJacks with 5 caused turnovers.Â
Both
Elijah Clark and
Viktor Wennberg saw time in net today, combining for 6 saves.Â
The Jacks are back in action next Saturday (April 23) for an important matchup with playoff implications on the line against Monmouth College. Game time from Monmouth, IL is set for 1pm.Â
