Ashland, WI - The Northland College LumberJills put in a strong defensive effort on Friday afternoon in a 4-0 loss to the nationally ranked UW-Eau Claire Blu Golds. The Blu Golds are currently ranked as high as 5th in the latest USCHO Poll.
The Blu Golds used two power play goals in the first period to take a 2-0 lead, and than added a third power play goal with only nine seconds remaining in the second period. They added fourth late in the third.
Teagen Johnson had an outstanding game in net as she made 40 saves.
The Jills play their final regular season game tomorrow at 2:00PM at home against UW-Eau Claire.
