DULUTH, Minn.--- The Northland College Softball team (#4 seed) opened the 2021 UMAC Tournament today vs. the #5 seed UW-Superior. After trailing early, the Jills would fall to the Yellow Jackets by a final score of 7-2. In a must win situation to keep their season alive vs. #2 seed- Bethany Lutheran College in game two, the Jills would fall to the Vikings 8-0, finishing their season with a 17-19 overall record.

In game one,
Sofia Garcia would get the start on the mound for the Jills. After two UWS runs,
Saylor Donnelly would get the Jills on the board, reaching first on a throwing error as
Jenna Reyes would score to make it 2-1. UWS however widened their lead in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings, to increase their lead to 7-1. The Jills however would fight to the very last out as
Saylor Donnelly singled through the right side, scoring Reyes but it wouldn't be enough as the Jills would fall to the Yellow Jackets 7-2.
Remi Orr would lead all LumberJills in hits vs. UWS, going 2X4.

Kayla Preisler would get the start on the mound for the Jills vs. Bethany Lutheran. The Jills would have a hard time getting any runs put together and BLC used runs in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th to take the game 8-0 to eliminate the Jills from the UMAC tournament.

Kayla Preisler each collected hits in game two for the Jills.
The Jills finished their season with a 17-19 overall record (9-7 UMAC).
