ASHLAND, Wis.-- With game time snow flurries and sub 40 degree temperatures, the Northland College Men's Lacrosse team hosted Monmouth College at Ponzio Stadium in a Midwest Lacrosse Conference matchup. The Jacks and Scots would be tied at halftime but Monmouth would prevail in the second, beating the Jacks 11-3.

Today's game started as a defensive matchup as either team struggled to find the back of the net.
Tristan Petrie broke through the 0-0 deadlock with just over a minute before the end of the first with a beauty of a goal. He was assisted by
Jakob Wohlford. After a Monmouth goal to open the second, Petrie scored his second of the game to make it 2-1. He was assisted by
Anden Stroik. The Scots added a goal before the half and the two team's were tied 2-2 into halftime.
Petrie netted his third goal of the game from a beautiful pass from Wohlfford to open the half. The Scots would however respond in a big way, scoring 6 unanswered goals before the end of the third to make it 8-3. The Scots added three more goals in the 4th to take the game, 11-3.
Danny Gentile made 20 saves in net today for the Jacks.
The Jacks will hit the road for the first round of the MLC playoffs with the matchup still yet to be determined. First round of the MLC playoffs is set for May 5th.
