ASHLAND, Wis.-- The Northland College Volleyball team were back in action this evening at the Kendrigan Center on the campus of Northland College for a UMAC conference showdown with the Rams from North Central MN. The Jills battled back from being down two sets to one, winning the 5th set 15-3 to take the match 3-2 (25-15, 9-25, 21-25, 25-19,15-3).

After a quick start and dominating much of the first match (25-15) the Jills quickly found themselves into a hole, dropping the 2nd and 3rd sets 25-19 and 25-21. After trailing 16-15 in the 4th set and almost on the brink of defeat, the Jills would respond in a big way, rallying for 5 and 3 point runs to take a strangle hold of the set and ultimately win the set 25-19. In the 5th set, after rattling off 7 straight points the Jills would cruise to a 15-3 set win and ultimately the match 3-2 over North Central.

Bailey Wynn (13) and
Larissa Fossum (12) led the LumberJills in kills this evening.
Litherland would also lead the Jills in blocks with 6.
The win tonight moves the Jills to 3-2 in UMAC conference play and they currently sit in 5th place in the conference standings.
The Jills will have a quick turn around as they travel to St. Scholastica tomorrow (April 1st). Game time is set to start at 7pm.
