MEQUON, Wis.-- The Northland College Baseball team continued it's start of the 2021 season today in Mequon, WI in a non-conference 9 inning game vs Concordia-WI. The Jacks would fall by a final score of 16-6 to the Falcons.

Adrian Bethel would get the start on the mound for the Jacks in today's game and it would be the Jacks to get on the board first as
Noah Cross grounded out to first base, scoring Jake Schamm. Bethel would later walk with the bases loaded and
Joel Eason would later hit a 2rbi single as the Jacks jumped out to the early 4-2 lead in the third inning. With the score tied at 4 in the 5th inning,
Shawn O'Connell would rip a single down the right field line, scoring Schramm as the Jacks would re-take the lead. Schramm would score off a wild pitch in the 7th inning but that would be it for the Jacks offense as CUW would use 2 runs in the 7th and 6 in the 8th to go on to take the game 16-6.
Bethel finished with 5 innings of work, giving up 5 hits and only 1 earned run while striking out 4 batters.

The Jacks are back in action this Wednesday (March 17th) in Minneapolis, MN at US Bank Stadium for a double header vs. St. John's University. First pitch in game one is set to start at 12pm.
