Ashland, WI – The Northland College LumberJills took on the UW-Eau Claire BluGolds on Wednesday evening, and despite a spirited effort, the BluGolds were able to take home a 5-2 win. With the win the BluGolds improved to 2-0-1 while the Jills dropped to 0-5.

The Jills created several chances to even the game but ultimately the BluGolds would add two more, with the final being an empty net goal with 1:37 remaining.
Soleil Archambeault made 40 saves in net for the Jills. Both teams meet again on Friday in Eau Claire for the second and final game of their regular season series.
