ASHLAND, Wis.--- The Northland College Volleyball team hosted Finlandia University and North Central MN today in a triangular today at Chapple Family Gymnasium. The Jills took down Finlandia University in game one, winning in 5 sets (19-25, 25-14, 19-25, 25-15, 15-7) but would unfortunately fall to the Rams of North Central in game two in 4 sets (16-25, 22-25, 25-20, 20-25).

In game one vs. the Lions, Northland would win the 2nd and 4th sets to set up the winner take all 5th set which the Jills would win in dominating fashion, 15-7.
Larissa Fossum would have a monster game for the Jills, finishing the match with 24 kills.
Makenna Nelson led all LumberJills with 51 assists.
Alexa Zadra led the Jills in digs with 20.
In game two in the UMAC matchup vs. North Central, the Jills quickly fell behind 2-0 but would respond with a win in the third set winning 25-20. The Jills looked strong in the 4th set and were up 12-6 at one point but would drop the set 25-20 and the match to the Rams 3-1. Fossum once again led all LumberJills in kills with 12.
Bailey Wynn led all LumberJills in digs with 14 while
Makenna Nelson collected 35 assists.
The Jills are back in action tomorrow (10-9) as they take on Northwestern MN. Game time is set to start at 1pm at the Chapple Family Gymnasium.
