Jacks Play Drew University in Florida

Fort Pierce, FL-

The Northland College Baseball team continued play in Fort Pierce, FL today with a 9 inning game vs. Drew University. The Jacks would lead early in this one but ultimately fall by a final score of 15-4. 

Box Score 

Riley Reuter would get the start on the rubber for the Jacks today vs. Drew University. The Jacks would be the first ones to get on the board in this one as Adrian Bethel would single, scoring Jake Schramm in the bottom of the first inning to take the early lead. Drew University would take the lead in the second inning scoring 2 runs before the Jacks would tie the game as Garrett Warren would hit an rbi sac fly to right field, scoring Rian Arreazola to tie the game. Drew would jump out to another lead with runs in the third and 5th innings making it a 7-2 ball game. Rian Arreazola wouldn't be done for the Jacks, smashing an rbi single in the 5th inning, scoring Noah Cross. Adrian Bethel would later score on a passed ball to make it a 7-4 game with the Jacks still trailing. Drew University would make it tough for a Jacks comeback in the 6th inning, scoring 8 runs to open up the game to make it 15-4. The Jacks would go three up and three down in the bottom half of the 6th and 7th innings to fall to Drew University. 

Bethel would continue his hot hitting for the Jacks going 3 for 4 at the plate with 1 run scored and 1 rbi. 

The Jacks will close out their trip in Fort Pierce, FL tomorrow (March 5) with a double header vs. Kenyon College. Game one of the double header is set to start at 12:30pm (EST).
