Mequon, WI-

The Northland College Men's Lacrosse team opened the 2020 season today as they traveled to Concordia- WI in Mequon, WI. With game time temperatures hovering in the mid 20's, the Jacks would fall to a very strong CUW team by a final score of 17-3.

CUW, who won the MLC conference last season, would come out of the gates flying, scoring the first four goals of the game to take the early 4-0 lead in the first. The Jacks would respond with a goal of their own, scored by Michael Quarve. He was unassisted on the goal. CUW would continue to pressure the Jacks and would open up the 2nd with three straight goals to make it 7-1. Bailey Lang would get on the board for the Jacks with a man up to make it 7-2. 

Concordia would continue their pressure in the 2nd half, widening their lead to 11-2. Kenny Gudmonson would score his first goal of the 2020 season, making it 11-3. CUW would score 6 unanswered goals in the 4th and take the game 17-3. 

Concordia would outshoot the Jacks 45-27. 

Danny Gentile would make 11 saves in today's contest. 

The Jacks will be back in action on February 22nd, as they travel to Marian University in Fond Du Lac, WI. Game time is set for 4pm.
