Aurora, IL – The Jills got off to a great start in their two game roadtrip at Aurora University with 2-1 OT victory.
 
The Lumberjills got off to a hot start as Karadyn Kiviaho netted the first goal of the game.  While Northland was able to pelt the Aurora Goaltender with repeated shots soon after, they were held scoreless the rest of the period.  The period would end with the Jills leading by a score of 1-0.
 
The 2nd period was extremely exciting as the Jills were on fire on the penalty kill.  They  found themselves down a woman multiple times in the period, however, they rose to the challenge each time.  The 3rd period would begin with Aurora evening the game at 1 a piece.  The rest of the period was hard fought; however, neither team could net the winner in regulation.
 
Overtime began with Northland going up a woman as Aurora had a player get sent to the penalty box early on.  The Jills were able to capitalize as Mahteya Dumelie found the back of the net.  This would propel the Jills to a massive 2-1 win away from home!
