St. Paul, MN – The Jills traveled to Hamline University for a non-league matchup on Friday evening, losing in straight sets to The Pipers by scores of 25-8, 25-14, and 25-16. With the win The Pipers are now 10-5, while the Jills record dropped to 6-9.
Justine Litherland led the way for the Jills with 6 kills on 21 attempts, while also adding 3 blocks. Defensively,
Kennedi Bernia had 11 digs and
Bailey Wynn had 10.
The Jills face off against Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday afternoon in their first UMAC competition of the year. The Vikings swept both matches last year, but this year they will be facing a new and improved Jills squad who have already surpassed their win total from 2018.
Start time for Saturdays match is set for 3:00pm.
