Jills Fall at Home

Ashland, WI -

The Northland College LumberJills  out scored the YellowJackets of Superior in the second half but it wasn't enough to combat their slow offensive start.  The Jills fell to Superior 88-62.

NC had good looks early on but couldn't convert.  Superior capitalized on the misses and went up quickly 11-2.  Superior's size inside gave NC problems and the Jills gave up second chance points early on. The YellowJackets went up 27-13 after one quarter. Two fouls on three of the Northland post players stalled things for the Jills and UWS took advantage of their transition game. They headed into halftime up 53-26.

This offensive rhythm led the Jills to match the scoring of UWS in the third and the YellowJackets went up 69-42 heading into the last quarter. NC kept up their strong offensive quarter and outscored UWS 20-19. The final score was 88-62.
