The Jills hosted non-conference opponent the University of Wisconsin-River Falls tonight at the Bay Area Civic Center. Additionally, tonight was the Jills third annual Pride Night.
 

The Jills came out strong defensively to start the first as they battled for possession of the Puck. Both teams would tally shots on goal, but were able to keep each other out of the net. With less than a minute remaining in the first the Falcons would be able to break through and take the first lead of the game. The Jills would go into the second period down 1-0.
 

The Jills carried their strong defensive play into the second period, as they were able to fend off the Falcons' offensive attacks, once again keeping the Falcons out of the net. The Jills struggled offensively and weren't able to capitalize on their opportunities. However, their defense would be able keep the deficit to one. They would go into the third period still down 1-0.
 

The Falcons struck first in the third with a little over three minutes elapsed in the period. Just over a minute later they would add another goal. The Falcons would be able to score two more times before the end of the game, taking a 5-0 lead. The Jills would run out of time and fall by a final score of 5-0.
 

Gabby Suhr finished the game with 36 saves, while Aubrielle Champagne came on in the third and recorded 11.
 

The Jills will be back at home tomorrow. Puck drop is scheduled for 2pm.
