The Jacks hosted Macalester College today at home for a non-conference contest against the Scots.

The Jacks quickly got out to a 3-0 lead to start the game. The teams matched up evenly for the majority of the half as they would trade leads numerous times. The Jacks started to pull away late in the half with a 6 point lead. The Scots would start to chip away at the Jacks' lead, but they would be able to hold on and take a 30-25 lead into halftime.

The Scots got on the board first in the second half, cutting down the Jacks' lead to 3 and eventually taking the lead 34-33. The Jacks battled back to regain the lead, but the Scots would once again take it back. With less than two minutes remaining, the Jacks would be able to get to within one of the Scots. However, it wouldn't be enough. The Jacks would fall by a final score of 65-61.

Benny Larry Jr. had a team high 14 points for the Jacks while Modesta Britten and Brandon Galland tallied 13 and 12 points respectively. Modesta Britten grabbed 6 rebounds in the game, while Benny Larry Jr. added 5.

The Jacks will resume conference play 1/2 at home against the University of Northwestern (MN). Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, WI. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 14 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
